[Svt-eic-participants] IR2 at EIC Workshop Announcement

Dear Colleagues,

This is the second circular for the first IR2 at EIC workshop, held virtually on March 17-19, 2021. You can find the full circular attached to this email.

This first workshop will highlight the key reactions and the science that would benefit the most from a second interaction region. We have invited speakers to highlight the science areas in exclusive processes, semi-inclusive processes and physics with jets, heavy flavor and spectroscopy, and processes in light and heavy ions for this workshop. Furthermore, we will form working groups to formulate the most compelling justification for the science at low center-of-mass energy.

We intend to highlight the compelling science for a second, complementary interaction region during the workshop, sketching out the path towards developing a robust concept detector and its ancillary instrumentation to be discussed in the subsequent workshops.
