Let's plan on meeting on Thursday as normal.



quick update:



1) laser chassis complete and powered up, this provides all signals to RF amplifer (drive signal), an RF monitor, the cathode heater (adjustable), and the Cathode grid bias (adjustable).  So it has 3 laser transmitters and 1 laser receiver.



2) all racks are portable with heavy duty wheels and handles to assist in moving.  They are heavy and can be lifted by fork truck or by hand with effort.  There are two fiber optic bundles that need to go from the second floor control area to the gun.  They are color coded:  Black low frequency, and Orange RF frequency.  They are housed in a plastic jacket for protection and are 30m long.  We will also need to run a long ethernet cable (which I don't have yet) of 30m to communicate with the gun HVPS via the lap top we've set up.  We measured the cable tray runs one of the times we visited.



3) the gun is on an 80-20 stand with heavy duty casters.  We had the casters fail while moving it around and replaced them with a heavy grade caster.  The wheels are only used for transport and positioning, then they need to be removed (couple of screws)



4) Lots of hot deck testing, etc. All required special power supplies now solved.
