Mark went to check downstairs to lock up - found the bias supply reading 95mA current, and the filament supply reading volts only. Bias is not meant to see current, filament is meant to see current!

Also the hot deck was literally hot - too hot to touch! He had to wait some time for it to cool before removing the cathode plug.

The plug checked out as being isolated and connected to the right wires as expected.

Unknown how this state occurred... not good.


Short term plan: Mark will verify operation of the cathode in "local mode" to check we haven't killed it.

We need to meet to discuss the path forward...ventilation...monitoring the supplies on the hot deck....etc...
