<p>The cathode has been replaced and the new cathode has been checked for proper isolation. The grid is isolated and only contacts ground when the RF transmission line is inserted (as intended). The heating element and emitter are electrically isolated from ground (as intended). The heater and emitter individually are isolated form each-other until the RF transmission line closes the circuit between them (as intended).</p>
<p>The cause of the old cathodes failure is unknown at this time, but will be investigated and hopefully repaired to have a functioning spare. Moving forward, we will not put any bias voltage on the grid at any point.</p>
