Dear all,

A reminder that there's a theory seminar at 1pm this afternoon (Monday)
in L102/4:

----------
1pm, Monday Nov 2nd
L102/4

*Integrability of gauge theories: a tool for QCD?*

Andrei Belitsky (Arizona State University)

The spin chain description of evolution equations for higher twist
operators was originally discovered in QCD more than a decade ago. In
recent years this framework was intensively used to test the AdS/CFT
correspondence which allows one to perform calculations at strong
coupling in certain gauge theories. We give an overview of these
developments with a look on their potential application to QCD.

Also this week we have a cake seminar on Wednesday:

3pm, Wednesday Nov 4th
*****NOTE DIFFERENT ROOM TO USUAL*****
*F113*

*"Dark Forces" Workshop Report*

Andrei Afanasev (JLab/HU)

Astrophysics measurements recently provided additional evidence of
`dark matter' in the Universe. In some models, a new gauge boson is
responsible for coupling of dark-matter particles to ordinary matter.
I will discuss phenomenology of the `dark-force' particles,
possibilities of their searches and summarize relevant presentations
at the recent `Dark Forces' Workshop held in SLAC.

A complete list of upcoming theory seminars and talks from previous
seminars are available from:

Christopher
