Dear all,
A reminder that there's a theory seminar at 1pm this afternoon (Monday)
in L102/4:
----------
1pm, Monday Oct 19th
L102/4
*Nucleon Spin Structure and Gauge Invariance (An Atomic View)*
Terry Goldman (LANL)
The theory and measurements of the quark and gluon contributions
to the spin of the nucleon have caused controversy and consternation.
I review some of the issues in the familiar context of atomic physics
and present the Nanjing collaboration view of how to resolve these
questions. The principle feature of our resolution is a separation of
the contribution of gauge fields to the relevant operators into two
distinct, identifiable components. Possible further implications for
linear momentum and asymptotic gauge fields will be touched upon.
----------
Also this week, on Wednesday (Oct 21st, 3pm, L102/4) there's an Informal
Cake Seminar: Bernhard Musch will be talking about "Transverse Momentum
Distributions of Quarks in the Nucleon from Lattice QCD"
A complete list of upcoming theory seminars and talks from previous
seminars are available from:

Thanks,
Christopher
