Dear all,

We have two seminars next week (more details below):
* Monday (1pm, Nov 8th) in *F224/5*
* Wednesday (2pm, Nov 10th) cake seminar in L104

A complete list of upcoming theory seminars and talks from previous
seminars are available from:

Monday, Nov 8th
1pm (coffee at 12:45)
Room *F224/5*
*NOTE UNUSUAL ROOM* - corrected from previous announcement

*Lattice calculations of neutron matter and nuclei using effective field
theory*

Dean Lee
North Carolina State University

Effective field theory is a systematic approach to interacting quantum
systems at low energies and densities which is based upon an expansion
in powers of particle momenta. Lattice effective field theory combines
this approach with numerical lattice methods. I discuss the application
of lattice effective field theory to the calculation of neutron matter
and nuclei.

Cake Seminar
Wednesday, Nov 10th
2pm
Room L104

*Dispersion relations and amplitude analysis*

Adam Szczepaniak
Indiana University

I will discuss some general properties of partial wave dispersion
relations and application to P-wave pipi scattering. Resent results on
describing Dalitz distribution of 3pi in J/Psi decays will be presented.

Cake Sponsor: Jo Dudek
