Dear all,
We will have a cake seminar on Wednesday at 14:00 in F113 (NOTE ROOM
CHANGE!)
Speaker: Peng Guo
Title: ABC's of Partial Wave Amplitude Analysis
Abstract: I will present some basic ideas and techniques of Partial wave
amplitude analysis, and the application to J/Psi decays to KKpi and 3pi.
Cake sponsor: Dru
We have a Theory Center Seminar today:
CEBAF Center, Room L104
1:00 p.m.
Speaker: Sergey Syritsyn (LBNL)
Title: Nucleon Structure From Lattice QCD: Progress and Challenges
Abstract: Recent progress in lattice QCD algorithms as well as computing
resources
enable us to calculate the nucleon structure from first principles. I
will report recent results of nucleon structure calculations by the LHP
collaboration: the nucleon radius and magnetic moment, momentum fraction
carried by quarks, and quark spin and orbital angular momentum (OAM)
contributions to the nucleon spin. I will also discuss the challenges as
we approach the physical pion mass.
