*Intrinsic transverse parton momenta*

Certain observations in the Drell-Yan process or in semi-inclusive
deep-inelastic scattering can only be understood if one considers
transverse (with respect to the hard momentum flow in the process)
motion of partons in the nucleon. What do we know about transverse
parton momenta from phenomenology? What can we learn about them from
studies in effective approaches or models? Recent progress is reviewed,
phenomenological applications for future experiments at JLab are discussed.
