Dear Colleagues,
In order to foster joint efforts between theorists and experimentalists in the studies of hadron spectrum and structure as the important part in exploration of the strong interaction in non-perturbative regime, Hall-B and recently established Physics Analysis Center organize topical meetings with a goal to share information on the recent advances and to stimulate further growth in this research area.
First Meeting is scheduled for May 17th 2013, Friday, 3.30 p., room A110 in the CEBAF Center.
Agenda:
1. Dr. C.D.Roberts (ANL), Imaging Dynamical Chiral Symmetry Breaking.
Abstract:
Dynamical chiral symmetry breaking (DCSB) is the most effective mass generating mechanism within the Standard Model. Its impact on both mesons and baryons is enormous. I will illustrate this by describing the manner by which DCSB explains and connects a diverse array of observable phenomena, ranging, e.g., from the pion's valence-quark distribution amplitude, through the level-ordering of J=1/2 states in the baryon spectrum and the nucleon to Delta transition, to the possibility of a zero in the proton's electric form factor.
The link to talk in the web-site will be available before Meeting.
