[Theory-seminars] Cake Seminar revival (volunteer!)

Dear all, 

This is my attempt to encourage everyone to volunteer to give a cake seminar this fall (or spring). Cake seminar are meant to be a more informal venue for us to communicate what we are performing. Its casual nature is emphasized by the presence of a cake!

The research presented does not have to be finished. You are welcome to showcase on-going research with the hopes that the discussion could help you shine further light to it. You can even be brave enough to not use a computer!

To the advisors in the group, this is a great way for your students to polish their seminar-giving skills. So please encourage your students (and even postdocs) to give a seminar.

So, please volunteer! Otherwise I’m going to have to ask individuals, and there’s only so many *no’s* I can take.
