Title: Calculation of Pion Valence Distribution Using Hadronic Lattice Cross Sections

abstract:

Recently, it has been shown by Ma & Qiu [PRL 120 (2018) no.2, 022003)] that a class of coordinate-space-separated non-local hadronic matrix elements, computable directly in lattice QCD, can be factorized into parton distribution functions with calculable coefficients, in the same manner as the hadronic cross sections measured in an experiment. In this talk, I will present the progress of the calculation of pion valence distribution using this hadronic “Lattice Cross Sections” formalism.
I will also report an upcoming calculation of the determination of weak neutral current (WNC) axial form factor (G^Z_A) and its application to neutrino-nucleon elastic scattering cross section.
