Dear all,

Here is a reminder for next week's seminar:

Cake seminar:
Monday, September 10, 1PM, Room L102
Kazuhiro Watanabe, "Production and Hadronization of Event engineering Quarkonium and Open Heavy Flavor in High Multiplicity p+p and p+A collisions"

Over the last several years, heavy quark pair production in minimum bias (MB) events in hadronic (p+p) and light-heavy ion (p+A) collisions has been studied extensively in the Color-Glass-Condensate (CGC) framework by varying kinematic variables and system size. Such event engineering studies are extended toward heavy flavor measurements in high multiplicity events, that are extreme rare compared to MB events. In this talk, I will present some recent studies on event engineering heavy flavors production in rare high multiplicity p+p and p+A collisions at RHIC and the LHC in the CGC framework. We discuss the event engineering enables us to obtain deep insights into production and hadronization mechanisms of quarkonium and open heavy flavor.
