Here is a reminder for seminars next week:
Theory seminar:
Monday, July 8, 1:00PM, Room L102
Renaud Boussarie (BNL), "The QCD shockwave formalism as an infinite twist TMD framework"
Abstract:
The relation between low x observables at small momentum transfer and Transverse Momentum Distribution was previously established within leading power accuracy. I will show how one can make an extension to all powers, leading to an exact correspondence between the semi-classical formulations of low x physics and the high energy limit of an infinite power TMD framework. I will then discuss how to reinterpret some saturation effects as modeled in small x physics in terms of actual parton distributions, and give a more rigorous definition to the so-called dilute BFKL limit.
Cake seminar:
Wednesday, July 10, 1:00PM, Room F224-225
David Richards (JLab), “Lattice 2019 highlights”
Abstract:
I describe some of the (personal) highlights from the recent Lattice 2019 conference in China. In particular, I will focus on advances in hadron structure, spectroscopy and weak-interaction physics. But I will also try to mix in some quantum computing and machine learning.
