Miguel,
will there be a BJ connection as well?

Title: Quantum Monte Carlo Approaches to Electron and Neutrino Scattering from Nuclei
Abstract:
Electron and neutrinos provide important probes of nuclear structure and dynamics at momenta corresponding to the inter-nucleon spacing in the nucleus. Developing a comprehensive understanding of scattering is becoming more important as a tool to understand neutrino physics, including mixings and particularly CP violation, and for understanding the short-range structure of nuclei.
It has been known for some time that both two-nucleon correlations and currents are important to describe this scattering. I will highlight results from Quantum Monte Carlo approaches that naturally incorporate both elements, including Green’s function Monte Carlo, Auxiliary Field Diffusion Monte Carlo and the short-time approximation. The later naturally connects with semi-classical generators often used in experimental analysis. I will also describe important problems to be addressed and the future outlook. In particularly quantum scattering at relatively high momenta is also an early application of quantum computing.
