Dear all,

Next Monday, June 21 at *1:00 PM* (oh, didn't we all miss a nice afternoon
seminar?), Jaume Tarrús Castellà will give a theory seminar on

*Theory seminar*
Monday, June 21, *1:00 PM* (yes, your eyes are not failing you!)

*Jaume Tarrús Castellà* (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) will talk about
"Exotic Quarkonia in Effective field theory".

*Abstract:*
Since the early days of QCD the existence of hadrons beyond the quark model
baryons and mesons has been foreseen.
These states have now been unambiguously observed in the quarkonium
spectrum close and above open flavor thresholds
and are usually referred to as exotic quarkonium. A large variety of models
have been put forward to explain these states
but no model has been able to provide a unified description of all the
exotic quarkonium states. Furthermore these models have no clear connection
to QCD.
As in standard quarkonium, effective field theories can be used to relate
the phenomenological descriptions to QCD.
In this talk I will present the development of such an effective field
theory framework that, together with lattice QCD inputs,
can be used to describe all the exotic quarkonium states and can also be
extended to other double heavy hadrons regardless if they are exotic.
Afterwards I will review the application of this EFT framework to the
hybrid quarkonium spectrum including hyperfine contributions
and to the study of hybrid to standard quarkonium transitions.

Have a good weekend,
Astrid, Christos and Filippo
