Dear all,
Next Monday, May 17th at 1:00 PM, Shohini Bhattacharya will give a theory
seminar on https://bluejeans.com/801786278

I remind you also that we are now kindly asking everyone to provide their
full names when logging on to the meeting.
*Theory seminar*
Monday, May 17th, 1:00 PM
*Shohini Bhattacharya* (Temple University) will talk about "An exploratory
study of twist-3 PDFs using quasi-PDF approach".
*Abstract:*
The quasi-PDF approach, proposed by Ji in 2013, has sparked a new wave of
interest in extracting PDFs from lattice QCD. This approach relies on the
extraction of matrix elements of fast-moving hadrons coupled to space-like
separated quark fields. Such auxiliary quantities can be related to the
light-cone PDFs using a perturbative procedure called matching. This
procedure has demonstrated success in the extraction of the twist-2 PDFs as
well as twist-2 GPDs from lattice QCD. We explore the formalism of
matching, for the first time, for the twist-3 PDFs g_{T}(x), e(x) and
h_{L}(x). We make several non-trivial observations, all of which arise from
the singular zero-mode contributions present in the perturbative results of
the light-cone and quasi-PDFs. As such, we lay the necessary theoretical
foundations for dealing with such zero-mode contributions in matching-type
calculations. Finally, we present the first-ever x-dependent twist-3
results.
Have a restful weekend!
