Hello All,

This coming Monday, November 14th at 1:00 PM (EST), Raghav Jha will give our next hybrid theory seminar of the Fall term. If you will be on-site and are comfortable doing so, please join us in room L102 of CEBAF Center. Otherwise, Raghav's seminar will also be provided virtually on our usual ZoomGov link: https://jlab-org.zoomgov.com/j/1611179843?pwd=M09CNTFpbFVZSW1IQlhIMGp3RUVHUT09

Please see below for the title and abstract of Raghav's talk.

Theory Seminar
Monday, November 14th at 1:00 PM

Raghav Jha (JLab)
will discuss "Classical computation using tensor networks and quantum computation with qubits and qumodes"

Abstract:
The talk will be divided into two unequal parts. In the first part, I will describe the tensor network approach for real-space numerical renormalization group and real-time dynamics of field theories. In the second part of the talk, I will explain how some spin models with continuous symmetry can be studied using quantum computation methods using qubits and qumodes.

Have a pleasant weekend!
Caroline, Colin & Patrick
