Title: QCD energy-momentum tensor and generalized parton distributions in $N\to\Delta$ transitions


Abstract: We provide the QCD energy-momentum tensor (EMT) form factors in $N\to\Delta$ transitions using a three-dimensional multipole expansion. We also establish the connection between these form factors and the generalized parton distributions (GPDs) in $N\to\Delta$ transitions. In the large $N_{c}$ limit of QCD, we perform the $1/N_{c}$ expansion for the baryonic matrix elements of the EMT current and study the spin-flavor structure of the EMT form factors. We then provide a mechanical interpretation of the transition EMT form factors in terms of two-dimensional distributions on the light cone. Finally, we provide the $N_{c}$ scaling behavior of the EMT form factors and relate them to the transition GPDs in the leading order accuracy.
