Cake Seminar: Wednesday, July 8th, 2024 at 1pm EDT, room F113

Speaker: Chueng Ji (North Carolina State University)

Title: Recent Progress of the Light-Front Quark Model

Abstract: I will present a mass gap solution of the 1+1D QCD in the large Nc limit known as the ‘tHooft model to discuss a link between QCD and the Light-Front Quark Model (LFQM). I will convey the discussion of the LFQM to a recent resolution of the light-front zero-mode issue raised about a decade ago regarding the pion transverse momentum distributions (TMDs) beyond the leading twist. I will illuminate the guiding
principle of self-consistency in exemplifying the invariance of the physical observables computed in the LFQM.

Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday.

Best regards,
Caroline, Joe, Zheng-Yang & Gloria
