Dear all,

On Wednesday, at 1pm EDT, we will have a cake seminar given by Marco Carrillo of ODU/Jlab in CC L102. Please, see title and abstract below.

Cake Seminar: Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 at 1pm EDT

Speaker: Marco Carrillo (ODU/JLab)

Title: Numerical exploration of real-time estimators for amplitudes

Abstract: We present our results from exploring estimators for scattering amplitudes based on finite-volume Minkowski correlation functions. These estimators are most amenable to emerging computational frameworks such as quantum computing & tensor networks. In particular, we show the effects of having finite-time separations and test the estimators in larger kinematic regions than previously considered in the literature. By doing this, we identify the order of space-time volumes necessary to observe an agreement between estimators and amplitudes.

See you on Wednesday.

Best regards,

Caroline, Joe, and Zheng-Yang
