Dear all,

On Wednesday, March 5th, 2025 at 1pm EST, we will have a cake seminar given by David Richards of JLab in CC L102 and on the following Zoom link:

Attendance in person is highly encouraged. Please see below for the title and abstract.

Cake Seminar: Wednesday, March 5th, 2025 at 1pm EST

Speaker: David Richards (JLab)

Title: Lattice Hadron Structure: Progress from 1D to 3D

Abstract: I describe recent work by the HadStruc collaboration describing the internal structure of the nucleon, and the progress from 1D distributions to the 3D structure encapsulated in the Generalized Parton Distributions and their moments. I begin with a brief review of the constraints imposed by calculations on a Eucldean lattice, and the adoption of the pseudo-PDF framework to circumvent those constraints. I then briefly outline some of the results on the 1D structure of the nucleon, before proceeding to our recent work on the Generalized Parton Distributions. I conclude with prospects for future calculations.

See you on Wednesday.

Best regards,
Joe, Zheng-Yang & Gloria
