</b><b>Flavor physics with charm and bottom baryons<br>
</b>
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html;
charset=windows-1252">
Studying flavor-changing processes involving charm and bottom
quarks is <br>
a powerful way of searching for new physics. Most of these
efforts have <br>
focused on D and B mesons, but charm and bottom baryons are
now playing <br>
an increasingly important role. Measurements of Lambda_b
decays at the <br>
Large Hadron Collider can shed new light on "anomalies"
observed in <br>
mesonic b decays, including the V_{ub} puzzle and the recent
hints for <br>
physics beyond the Standard Model in b -> s l l and b ->
c tau nu <br>
transitions. In this talk, I will review lattice QCD
calculations of the <br>
form factors describing weak decays of Lambda_b baryons, and
discuss the <br>
phenomenological implications. I will also present lattice QCD
results <br>
for the charm-baryon semileptonic decays Lambda_c -> Lambda
l nu, whose <br>
branching fractions have recently been measured precisely by
the BESIII <br>
collaboration.
