<b><span style="font-size:13.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Abstract</span></b><span style="font-size:13.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">: Photon-number-resolving detectors (PNRDs), detectors that are sensitive to single photons but can
also resolve the number of photons, have been developed in the last few decades. Nowadays, high performance PNRDs are available commercially, enabling photon-number detection with high fidelity.<br>

<span style="font-size:13.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">In this talk, I will show how photon-number detection can be exploited to demonstrate quantum enhancement in fields of quantum remote sensing, imaging and interferometry. For example, experimental
results of super resolution interferometry, using parity detection, will be presented, as well as noise-improved rangefinding and LIDARs.</span></p>
