Perturbation theory is generically ill-defined due to the zero radius of convergence of the expansion parameter in the physical system. Instead of being a curse, the divergence of perturbation theory opens the gate to the rich world of nonperturbative (such
as instanton) effects in the system. The nontrivial information in the divergence of perturbation theory can be decoded, and resurgence theory helps us do it in a systematic way to reveal the re-surging coefficients in the asymptotic series representation
of the observable.</div>

In this talk, I will introduce some ideas of resurgence in quantum mechanical problems, the clean laboratory for the application of resurgence theory, and their potential implications in quantum field theories. With the systematic influence of coefficients
in the trans-series expansion of an observable, resurgence theory manifests a fruitful interplay between geometry, topology, and asymptotic expansions near the critical points in the physical system.</div>
