[Tpe] Shielding Option

Hi All,
I was talking with Alex Vlassov about CLAS12 shielding. He said that he
found that putting a layer of Aluminum inside a lead shield made the
shielding better as low energy stuff died in the aluminum...
What about putting a 2.875" outside diameter x .276" wall aluminum tube
inside the 5" OD x 1" wall stainless tube?

That would give a 5.9cm ID. Both pieces would be 12 ft long. I think we
could nearly butt this up against the tungsten 2cm (1.8 or 2.2)
collimator and reduce the amount of stacked shielding. It could go
through the Rad phi wall...

Comments?

Thanks
Dave
