[Tpe] tpe meeting today

Hi Franz,
I think it is because there is a cut in fill_seb_ntn.F. I posted the number of events passing the cuts (dcstat>0 and npart>2) at the bottom of the page
https://clasweb.jlab.org/rungroups/tpe/wiki/index.php/Analysis_of_new_HBT_files
It looks like the npart>1 cut is what is killing us.
Our nomenclature is:
Old Method : ntuples created by User_ana->Recsis->fill_seb_ntn.F
New Method: ntuples created by nt10maker on cooked BOS files
So, I think that brings me to the next question, if npart = charged particles after time-based tracking + neutral clusters,
what goes into time-based tracking?
Regards,
Robert

Hi Larry,
Franz is helping me out with this. This is an email he sent me over the weekend.

Robert,
in the seb code there is a distinction between 'number of final reconstructed
particles'=npart (for usual cooking: charged particles after time-based
tracking+neutral clusters) and 'number of geometrically reconstructed
particles'=gpart, which means any matching between infos of SC+EC or SC+DC etc.
I think your presumption is correct: since the proton is going forward, seb regarded
that as the lepton (e+,e-) that defines the timing, what I don't understand right
now: why was the positron thrown out in time-based tracking (ok, it might have
gotten a beta~1.2 or 1.4 but years ago a put a stupid condition into trk_dcam:
if(beta<=0) beta=0.3; if(beta>1.2) beta=1.2; because otherwise lots of tracks get
lost if the time calibration is off)
... the easiest way to find out: send me some of those events, and I look into it.
Greetings
Franz

Dear Rob,
Did you find out what else goes into the definition of npart?
