[Uitf] UITF beam on a viewer before Xmas?

Carlos,

1. I added some names and cc:d to the UITF mailing list "uitf at jlab.org" to get the word out.

2. Shaun is a few keystrokes from being done w/ updated song sheet.  I'll forward component names/sequence to Michele today to update the UED.   I should be able to post the updated song sheet to the UITF wiki ~tomorrow, and update the UED component coordinates by week's end.

Subject: UITF beam on a viewer before Xmas?

Hi everyone, 

We are working towards having the UITF gun high voltage conditioned and a photocathode activated by mid next week. That leaves about two weeks before the Christmas break. Is it possible to have all that is needed to generate a few nA of beam to see it on a viewer, any viewer?

Going through the list of things that need to be ready: 

1. Magnets
-Need to install AND connect to PS two corrector pairs (MBHK101H/V), and MBHK102H/V), one upstream and one downstream of gun solenoid
-Need to connect to PS gun solenoid MFHK101

2. Controls
-Are all iocs functional? 
-Are all EPICS controls / read backs for magnets, and for viewer insertion/retraction (UITF Viewer Commander) functional?
-Is Faraday cup # 1 functional (insertion, retraction) and interlocked to ITVK203 (per UITF Viewer Commander screen)?

3. Viewer cameras
-Seems like cameras have been installed, do they need to be connected to a server or a video handling system?
-Are all iocs / serves for cameras functional? 
-Is software ready for displaying an image in EPICS

4. Laser
-Is the drive laser ready to generate viewer limited mode beam?
-Are all interlocks with PSS and with MPS ready?

5. Vacuum
-Vacuum reading from the UHV bank seems operational, 
-We would need to open gun valve VBVK201, but I think that can be opened in site by re-dircting instrument air.

Please let me know if I am missing anything and if your system(s) can be ready by Dec 15, that will leave us one week to attempt delivering beam.
