Hi Alex

Do you think you will be able to help Carlos with this tomorrow or soon? I think if he can figure out the ADC problem it would be a great help

Thanks

Hi guys,

after many tries, and different settings, I have the feeling that the ADC module is not well set into the DAQ. I remember there was something funny with the polarity of the signal cable so I changed, and the ADC spectra (using adc_macro.c) is THE SAME. I changed also the gate input from the twisted pair input to a nim input (also I verified different polarities of it). The funny thing is the output data looks exactly the same from run to run, regardless how I connect the cables (yes, I checked I was analyzing different sets. I make that mistake at the beginning). I never saw any LED from the module illuminated when running.

Alex, I appreciate if you can take a look to the set up. Honestly, I don't know if the set up as we have for VETROC is the problem with the v792 set-up. Also, when I run the decodeEel.C macro I got the following error:

Error in <THaCrateMap::init>: Error reading crate map database file db_cratemap.dat

but at the end, it produces a root file, of course with useless data. Please, tell us when do you have some time. We will be there.

Thanks guys.

P.S. I think that my owl shift was canceled, so I'll come tomorrow (Friday) the whole day.
