Dear all:
Most of you who were subscribed to this mailing list earlier today have received my email as attached below.
I need to make a correction that the run plan described in this earlier email is quite premature. So far we have not submitted the formal beam time request and have not finalized the run plan, therefore it is still quite uncertain how we will divide the beam time between A1n and d2n. It is also too early to say whether the Spring 2020 run period will be fully spent on these two experiments.
All we know now is that it is highly likely we will run one, or maybe a combination of the kinematics, of A1n and d2n experiments in Fall 2019. Details will have to be worked out later.
Sorry about that, and stay tuned!
Xiaochao

I am sending this email to everybody on the 12 GeV Hall C A1n and d2n proposals' author lists to inform you that a new mailing list has been created for the combined run group of the Hall C A1n and d2n experiments.
As you may have already noticed, these two experiments are on the preliminary beam schedule for Fall 2019. We expect the installation of the polarized 3He target will occur during the summer shutdown of 2019. In Fall 2019 we will focus on the small angle running (i.e. d2n and the low Q2 settings of A1n). During X'mas shutdown there will be maintenance and target rotation. Then Spring 2020 run will be spent mostly on the large angle running (i.e. the high Q2 settings of A1n, including the highest x point).
In a few minutes I will subscribe everyone here to the new mailing list. At this moment you can:
-- tell me if you do NOT want to be on the mailing list;
-- provide names and subscribing emails (new students, postdocs, anyone I have overlooked et al) for me to add to the mailing list;
(in particular, I did not include anyone who does not have a JLab email address, such as authors from China because I don't have them.)
-- if you wish to use your institution email, please subscribe it yourself or send the email address to me so I can subscribe it. At the moment only subscribers can send emails to the mailing list.
We are also planning to have our first collaboration meeting in June, most likely during the week of 6/11-6/15, for about half day. Stay tuned!
(PS for those of you involved in the ERR, we are still working on a final reply to all ERR comments. This will be sent out within a couple of weeks from today. After that we will send in the formal beam time request, by the end of June).
Cheers,
Xiaochao
