We need ~20 PAC hours of 1-pass beam for a list of calibration items.
The optics part is important, but it won't dominate that time though:
Optics [2 PAC hours]
H(e,e'p) elastics, C, 3He elastic, QE, Delta, etc [15 PAC hours]
BCM, BPM calibrations [2 PAC hours]

I think we should still request at least 36 calendar hours in the
Spring. For example, setup 1-pass on 'Monday afternoon' start running
during swing, switch back Wednesday morning.

The wall thickness of the Al tube isn't too critical, so 2.2cm OD and
2.0cm ID would be fine too. That is snug, but it fits. I imagine it is
also possible to lower the relative position of the reference cell a bit
and increase the gap(?)
As you say, JP knows what can be done.
