[A1n_d2n] [New Logentry] Call for shifts for A1n/d2n

Please sign up for A1n/d2n shifts at https://misportal.jlab.org/mis/apps/physics/shiftSchedule/index.cfm?experimentRunId=HALLC-POL3HE   !   I'd like to soon have 100% of shifts covered up to the Xmas shutdown on Dec 20. (Signups in 2020 would also be appreciated, as next year is only 33 days away.) 

I cannot adequately express what an amazing scientific opportunity and privilege it will be to have a high FOM polarized 3He target seeing beam in Hall C in the 12 GeV era. It looks like there's a little atomic physics lab on our pivot now (or a prop from the Jody Foster movie Contact). To make the upcoming A1n/d2n measurements, the accelerator, the target, and the Hall C infrastructure will all have to be working, but the COLLABORATION will be  essential for changing kinematic settings, monitoring data quality, and everything else needed to make sure precious events are pumped into the data silo 24/7 for months on end. Since I don't see any more 3He experiments on the list of approved Hall C 12 GeV experiments, and the Hall C backlog is a significant fraction of a decade, when the 3He target leaves the pivot after A1n/d2n it may be half a generation before we do such measurements in Hall C again. Don't miss out!
