I intended my RC updates to be shorter than Greg's (total fail, as you'll see), but as you've had no update since Wed morning ....

Hall C infrastructure: Spectrometers not all ready, although SAW did bring an SHMS shower block back from the dead. https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3745011 Various certs and fixes will have to happen on Monday, which I'll summarize for Hall C techs and engineers on Sunday nite so I don't repeat myself all weekend.

3He target: Seems like ancient history already, but the appreciative target group got their paperwork signed off on Wednesday nite. https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3744711 . JP then listed work for the weekend. https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3744714 The target elves are working hard, and now have Hall C to themselves in that the CANS system is configured to not let anyone else in. Optical pumping may start "late Saturday or Sunday", after which polarimetry commissioning begins and can drag on if needed into 2 pass optics checkout. (See JP's items E and F, respectively, near the bottom of his list.)

Accelerator: The accelerator is doing a good job of accelerating. While steering up beam for the other halls, they just completed a no-beam check of our harps which Brad and Jay B were eager to have happen. https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3745080 Amy C said she had forwarded the (slightly off normal) results to an expert, and that the MCC would do a no-beam check of our YAG when they get a minute.

Shifts: A separate reminder to sign up for shifts went out. https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3745022 Shift personnel are as crucial as the accelerator, target, and Hall C infrastructure for getting the A1n/d2n program done. Don't miss out!

Xiaochao and the other spokes on site are refining the 2-pass run plan.
