Hello,
The run is fast approaching and we will need to fill a number of
important jobs during the 6 months run. I transmit here a poll where you
can fill you availability for these jobs. We will probably wait for a
new consolidated schedule to be published before to make the final
assignments, but it is important that we see rapidly the number of
people we have for each job. In this way, we can start to train students
or postdocs on the jobs for which we lack competent personnel. I make a
very quick description of the jobs below, if you are not knowledgeable
yet on the task you can still do the job, we can plan an overlap with
the previous period for training.
Run coordinator: ideally staff person with CLAS12 experience and
knowledge of the ALERT scientific program. Postdocs are possible on this
job, but JLab does not allow students to take that role.
Detector on-call: anyone with a good understanding of the ALERT
detector. We will probably start with one expert for the AHDC and one
for the ATOF in the first round and then hopefully things can be managed
by a single person.
Cooking chef: usually a postdoc or an experienced student with good
understanding of the CLAS12 software and proficiency in job submission
on the farm. We will need one person in this position during
calibrations tasks beyond the end of the run.
Analysis coordinator: ideally a staff with CLAS12 experience. The person
does not need to be on-site, but we will need one person in this
position to oversee calibrations tasks beyond the end of the run.
Please fill for yourselves and forward to others that might not be on
the mailing list yet (I am thinking of students and postdocs mainly, but
also some of the SRC collaborators).
