[All_jlab_accounts] Message from Hugh Montgomery: CEBAF Commissioning Schedule Update

Dear Colleagues,

Following discussions with senior staff about the number of safety 
incidents and near misses that have occurred during the past few months, 
we have decided to rewrite the schedule for commissioning the accelerator.

We believe this will ensure adequate time for preparation of the 
necessary infrastructure and plant. It also will relieve some pressure 
points in the schedule and provide a safer work environment.

As a consequence, it is likely that the commissioning of the cold 
accelerator with beam will be delayed.

I will meet with all staff to discuss this and other issues in the next 
couple of weeks.
