[All_jlau] Central Computing Outage - Aug 6

There was an outage of JLab Central Computing Services today (8/6/2011) that started around noon.  The outage was the result of a software problem with a central file server.  We have worked with the vendor to restore functionality of the file server and we began restoring central services around 1:15pm.  As of 2:00pm, Email, printing, Windows AD Services, most MIS applications and other services were restored.

A patch has been provided to us by the vendor and it will be applied at 5:15pm tonight during the maintenance period.
