[All_jlau] Run-A-Round set for May 4: Registration & Volunteer Sign-up Underway Now

*The race is on to register for the 2016 Run-A-Round!*
The 31st Annual Jefferson Lab Run-A-Round will be held Wednesday, May 4,
from 3-6 p.m. Lab staff, users, students, full-time contractors and
immediate family members are invited to participate. Participating
staff, users and volunteers will receive a free 2016 JLab T-shirt.
The event begins in front of CEBAF Center at 3 p.m. with the debut of
the 2016 Jefferson Lab T-shirt. The run/walk starts promptly at 3:15
p.m. The run covers a flat 1.5 miles course meandering through the
campus, because of current construction the course won’t be posted until
the week of the event.
Food, beverages, music and awards will follow the race. Custom awards
will go to the top three overall male and female finishers, top three
Masters male and female finishers (ages 46 and above), and top three
male and female finishers in each age group.
*Runners, Walkers, Attendees: Register for the Event before 5 p.m.

To be eligible for awards, runners and walkers must register online
before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3.Race bibs may be picked up on race day –
May 4 – between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the CEBAF Center lobby.
Late registration will also be available from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. on
Wednesday, May 4, in the CEBAF Center lobby.Individuals registering the
day of the race will not be eligible for overall, masters or age group
awards.Register yourself and your family members, even if you do not
plan to compete, so that adequate refreshments can be provided.
Staff and users may redeem their race bib at the T-shirt Distribution
Tent to receive their free 2016 Jefferson Lab T-shirt.
Can't Run? You get a free Jefferson Lab T-Shirt by Volunteering for the
Event!
*Volunteer Help Needed the Day of the Event*
Volunteer help is needed before, during and after the event to carry out
a variety of tasks, including:
-- Finish line monitors
-- T-shirt distribution
-- Staffing food, beverage, and ID bracelet tents during the event
-- Trash pickup during and breakdown after the event.
