As a result of the Lab closing due to inclement weather on Monday,
February 1, 2010 and the delayed opening on Tuesday, February 2, 2010,
employees are to follow the guidelines below for recording time:
_All Staff: _
If you were already scheduled for vacation/sick leave on Monday,
February 1st and/or Tuesday, February 2nd, then enter your hours
accordingly as vacation/sick leave. The closing and/or late start does
not affect your time entries.
**
_Students & Casuals:_
No hours should be recorded on Monday. Record actual hours worked on
Tuesday as normal. Students and Casuals are not eligible for any type
of leave.
_Non-Exempt Staff: _
Record 8 hours on Monday to Weather/Public Emergency Leave or to
vacation/sick leave if you were already scheduled for vacation/sick
leave. Record actual hours worked on Tuesday as normal. The remainder
of your scheduled work day should be charged either to Weather/Public
Emergency Leave (up to two hours) or vacation accordingly.
_Exempt Staff:_
If you record productive time by day, record 8 hours on Monday to
Weather/Public Emergency Leave or to vacation/sick leave if you were
already scheduled for vacation/sick leave. Record your actual hours
worked on Tuesday. The remainder of your scheduled work day should be
charged either to Weather/Public Emergency Leave (up to two hours) or
vacation accordingly.
If you record productive time with percentages, record 8 hours on Monday
to Weather/Public Emergency Leave or to vacation/sick leave if you were
already scheduled for vacation/sick leave, and record up to two hours of
Weather/Public Emergency Leave or vacation on Tuesday, February 2nd.
Complete your percentages accordingly at the end of the pay period.
