Completed and signed employee timesheets for October 16-31, 2012 are
*due to supervisors at the end of the employee's work day today, October
31st*. If an employee is absent, the supervisor should complete and
sign the employee's timesheet by this same deadline.
*Supervisor and project manager approvals* on these timesheets *are due
to Finance no later than 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 1st*. As a
reminder, Jefferson Lab does not have compensatory time as a form of
payment for overtime. Please remember that for non-exempts, your
timesheet should always reflect your actual work and leave time for the
period; and for exempts, your timesheet should always reflect your work
prorated as required and your actual leave time for the period. For
those who supervise students and casuals, sign their timesheets even if
they did not have time for this period.
_Time Reporting for Inclement Weather on Monday, October 29th_
As a result of the Lab closing due to weather conditions related to
hurricane Sandy on Monday, October 29, 2012, employees are to follow the
guidelines below for recording time:
*_All Staff_
If you were already scheduled for vacation/sick leave on Monday, October
29th, then enter your hours accordingly as vacation/sick leave. The Lab
closure does not affect your time entries.
*
_Students & Casuals:
_Record only actual hours worked on Monday as normal (this generally
should be zero hours). Students and Casuals are not eligible for any
type of leave.
_Non-Exempt Staff:
_Record only actual hours worked on Monday as normal. The remainder of
your scheduled work day should be charged to Weather/Public Emergency
Leave (up to 8 hours) or to vacation/sick leave if you were already
scheduled for vacation/sick leave.
_Exempt Staff:
_If you record your productive time by day, record only your actual
hours worked on Monday. The remainder of your scheduled work day should
be charged to Weather/Public Emergency Leave (up to 8 hours) or to
vacation/sick leave if you were already scheduled for vacation/sick leave.
If you record productive time with percentages, record up to 8 hours of
Weather/Public Emergency Leave on Monday or record vacation/sick leave
