This is an important Jefferson Lab Training Requirement announcement: If
after reading this memo, you are unsure if you should take the training
discussed below, please talk with your supervisor.
A new Hot Checkout (HCO) process has been developed along with a
web-based training module GEN134 (that will be available Aug. 16) for
the 12 GeV CEBAF accelerator.
HCO training will describe the process through which hardware and
software systems (old and new) are tested for function and signed off as
beam ready. This training will cover status updates, sign-off
requirements and instructional information.
This training is required of all JLab staff including technicians, group
leaders and system experts/system owners who work on accelerator
components, and must be completed by close of business Sept. 16. (This
training requirement will affect staff in the following areas: the
Accelerator Division; Engineering Division; Free-Electron Laser
Division; Facilities Management and Logistics; and 12 GeV Upgrade
Project team.)
A live training session is scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday, Aug. 7) in
the CEBAF Center auditorium from 11 a.m.-noon. The web-based training
module (GEN134) will be available Aug. 16 online at:
http://www.jlab.org/div_dept/train/webbasedtraining.html.
Questions may be directed to the Engineering Division’s Ken Baggett,
ext. 6088, or Ron Lauze, ext. 7186.
Best regards,
