[All_staff] Message from Hugh Montgomery: Update on Government Shutdown

Dear Colleagues:

The Federal government reopens for business this morning, so we will 
also be taking steps to return Jefferson Lab to a more normal mode of
operation. We have been advised by DOE officials that they will move as 
fast as possible to distribute funding to the field - us.  However, that 
process will take several days. Until we receive the funding, we need to 
continue to exercise the austerity measures related to procurement and 
travel currently in place.

We will keep you updated as things develop and count on your 
demonstrated professional approach to these efforts and to the safety of 
you and your colleagues.
