[All_staff] Performance Appraisal Process Begins Today, 9/30/2015

Colleagues,
Jefferson Lab's performance review cycle is October 1 - September 30
each year. This year's performance appraisal process officially
begins*_Wednesday, September 30, 2015._* All supervisors need to go
into the Performance Appraisal system and activate their
employees'performance appraisals.
*Supervisors should take a moment to:*
·Review performance expectations from the previous year as they are
activating the appraisals.
·Coordinate any matrixed feedback for those employees who have been
supporting other groups outside their home unit.
·Update the employee's Skill Requirements List (SRL) via the Job Task
Analysis tool. If you have not reviewed or updated the SRL in the last
12 months, you will be prompted to do so.
*Once activated by the supervisor, employees can then complete their
self-assessments. Employees will receive an email indicating that their
appraisal is active and ready for completion: *
·Fill out your assessment scores for the core and technical expectations.
·Add comments in the designated box.
·There is a new feature in the self-assessment. Employees will review
their ES&H training requirements in their SRLs.
oYour safety training requirements will be listed in your self-assessment.
oReview your safety training.
§If you agree with the listed training, click on the radio button that
indicates you have no suggested changes.
§If you believe any required safety training is missing or unnecessary,
click on the radio button which will allow you to suggest training changes.
This will be forwarded to your supervisor so the two of you can discuss
your training.
Your supervisor can modify your SRL if appropriate.
·Submit your self-assessment.
In the event you are away from the Lab and need to access your
performance appraisal, you may do so by obtaining a Personal
Identification Number (PIN) from Brandye Rogers (x5959), Cassandra
Andrews (x7068), or Bruce Ullman (x7170).
