[BDXlist] BDX-DRIFT proposal to PAC47 update

Dear BDXers,
while waiting for the full report from PAC47 Committee, we anticipate 
some of the outcome of the BDX-DRIFT proposal presentation.
The presentation was very well accepted with positive comments from PAC 
members (especially readers). Despite the proposal has been 'Deferred' 
since more details on the veto system are needed before it may get 
approved, discussions with the committee, public and off-line comments 
were all positive and encouraging to present a new proposal next year.  
Given the time line of the BDX FOA this delay is not affecting  any real 
action on BDX-DRIFT. We need to work this year to have a new proposal 
better shaped with all issues raised by the PAC fully answered.
My impressions, from Dan John, and Elton comments is quite positive 
(obviously a full approval would have been better!) and the positive 
feedback from the Lab management is a good sign to move forward.
Dan, John, Elton, in case I missed something in the big picture, please 
send your toughs around
