[Bonuslist] BONuSFest2015 - please reserve the day!

Dear former, present and hopefully future BONuSites,

our Doodle poll converged on 

FRIDAY, AUGUST 21, 2015

as the day with the least “cannot attend” votes (sorry, Thia!). Therefore, we are planning a day-long meeting at Jefferson Lab (with remote participation via Bluejeans) for this nearly annual event. The main (sole?) topic of the meeting will be “Preparations for BONuS12”. In particular, we will hear updates from the leaders of the “Red Team” and “Blue Team” on the two recoil detector designs for the 11 GeV version of BONuS. We also hope to have talks from various people not necessarily (yet) part of the BONuS collaboration on various aspects of the experiment - from GEM foils over DREAM chip electronics to drift chamber options etc. and target designs. Possibly there will also be a summary talk on the accomplishments of (and any outstanding work related to) BONuS6.

I will be contacting many of you individually to solicit contributions to the “Fest” - meanwhile, anyone who would like to present something should feel encouraged to contact me right away with their suggestions. The goal of our meeting is to have a clear understanding of our options and any remaining work to make our final selection between them (we expect to “downselect” the optimal way to go forward by the end of September).
