Dear past, present and potentially future BONuS collaborators and friends,

our BONuSFest on Friday, August 21, is taking shape. I have produced an initial straw man version for the program - see below. You can find updated versions either by going to any recent “Agenda” on the BONuS Wiki at
https://clasweb.jlab.org/rungroups/bonus/wiki/
or directly at
https://clasweb.jlab.org/rungroups/bonus/wiki/index.php/BONuSFest2015
(your standard CEBAF CUE login credentials should work).

Please let me know as soon as possible:
IF you are listed as speaker, whether the time is o.k. or any other changes are needed
IF you would like to give a presentation and aren’t listed yet
IF you have any other suggestions for the meeting.
Note: to keep our budget as low as possible (namely, at $0), we won’t have any catered breaks. However, the morning coffee break is timed for a last dash to the cafeteria to get refreshments there (as you like).

We also have a regular BONuS meeting tomorrow, Thursday 7/30 at 10:30 in room A110 CEBAF Center. Feel free to join this one, as well.

Looking forward to seeing you on August 21! - Sebastian

Therefore, we are planning a day-long meeting at Jefferson Lab (with remote participation via Bluejeans) for this nearly annual event. The main (sole?) topic of the meeting will be “Preparations for BONuS12”. In particular, we will hear updates from the leaders of the “Red Team” and “Blue Team” on the two recoil detector designs for the 11 GeV version of BONuS. We also hope to have talks from various people not necessarily (yet) part of the BONuS collaboration on various aspects of the experiment - from GEM foils over DREAM chip electronics to drift chamber options etc. and target designs. Possibly there will also be a summary talk on the accomplishments of (and any outstanding work related to) BONuS6.

The goal of our meeting is to have a clear understanding of our options and any remaining work to make our final selection between them (we expect to “downselect” the optimal way to go forward by the end of September). You can find a lot of relevant information at today’s BONuS agenda on the Wiki:
