take a look at a first comparison of DIS rates measured with CLAS12 and simulated with GEMC:

A particularly eye-opening finding is on slides 10-11 and backup slides 18 and 23-29. Note that while we are not planning to use the microMEGAS, we are at least in danger of putting a similar amount of material into the direction of large-angle electrons. Hence the importance of paying close attention to all material in the front half of the RTPC, including protection circuits and flexible connection boards.
