Dear all,
     I have recooked run 12922 with gains of unity and item 5 below shows
the dEdx dependance on vz.

   1. pass1 data: dEdx analysis for the protons from the helium runs
   (12416-12422) with the old gains
   <https://userweb.jlab.org/~hattawy/bonus_analysis/10geV_analysis/gain_test_Helium_pass1.pdf>
   2. dEdx analysis for the protons from the the same runs after setting
   all the gain factors to unity
   <https://userweb.jlab.org/~hattawy/bonus_analysis/10geV_analysis/gain_test_Helium_NoGains.pdf>
   3. dEdx analysis for the protons from the same helium runs with the
   recent extracted gains
   <https://userweb.jlab.org/~hattawy/bonus_analysis/10geV_analysis/gain_test_Helium.pdf>
   4. dEdx analysis on the protons from run 12922 (10.4 GeV on D2 target)
   with the recent extracted gains
   <https://userweb.jlab.org/~hattawy/bonus_analysis/10geV_analysis/gain_test_12922.pdf>
   5. dEdx analysis on the protons from run 12922 (10.4 GeV on D2 target)
   with the unity gains
   <https://userweb.jlab.org/~hattawy/bonus_analysis/10geV_analysis/gain_test_12922_unity.pdf>

Figure 3 in 5 shows that the raw ADCs does not show any vz dependence for
dEdx. This explains why our previous extracted gains from the helium runs
at 2.1 GeV have show over correction to dEdx for the protons in 12922 (10
GeV D2).

Mathieu, We are still waiting for your hits repetition histograms. If you
are taken for other work, please let me know and I will work this out.

Best regards,
Mohammad Hattawy.
