Hi Byung,
Excellent start. I, and I believe Todd, have
independently calculated the straight M_56
and concluded the value was L/gamma^2, too.
Have to admit that I did not do the sign
right.
OK, in your estimate, shouldn't the total
to be corrected be 28 m/gamma^2 plus the 4 m/gamma^2 after
the chicane. (all at the same energy and this is
a 15% correction).
Please issue this as a tech note.
Please understand that this is only a good start,
and I'm commenting on the impression I have from
your writing this is good enough and closes the
issue.
It is my expectation
that you work with Ilkyoung, Alex, and Todd
to have settings where the total M_56 is zero
for the low energy running, and that you will
be in the control room making sure that this
is properly done during the BBU experiment.
"Properly done" means that M56=0 settings
are available for download in the control room
during the BBU experiments. These experiments
are not too far away in time.
Also, how about measurements?
