[BTeam] Discussion at BTeam meeting

All,

Just wanted to keep you all in the loop about what was discussed in the BTeam meting today. PLEASE, those present correct me where I am wrong and if you have additions, chime in as well!

  1.  As of now we still hope to be able to do the spin dance this weekend (Saturday).
  2.   If the measurement is delayed till Sunday, does it make more sense to wait until Monday afternoon to do this, when Hall C can participate? If we are late, then we could launch into the RF stress test, or launch into setting up to the respective halls and then do the RF stress test to Hall C Monday afternoon, TBD.
     *   Note: RF Optimization into Hall C will likely get us slightly less beam loaded current into the RF system, than full current to Hall A at 5th pass.
     *   Also to note: The point of the RF Optimization is an attempt to change the way we do business. In years past, we have just done the RF Optimization at the expense of Physics, ALL experiments suffer. By doing the optimization up front, hopefully will put CEBAF in a better position for Physics (at the desired currents), and more acceptable beam in use (ABU) when we get to the point of ramping the current to the halls.

I just want people to be thinking about this discussion for tomorrow. We should iron out what we want to do tomorrow, because changing the plan over a holiday will be a bad idea. Open questions are: What is the support for RF Optimization? What is the support for spin dance? What is the support to even finish ORFP?

 I worry that we will have delays and trouble because of the Holiday, and that support for any of the above will be scarce.
