All,

In the RF meeting yesterday there was much productive discussion. I think we are firming up what is needed for System Recovery and full powered tests. It would be nice if we have have some folks from Engineering (Kimber/ Mounts/ Bagget, others welcome too), to continue to discuss what is needed and ensure we are all on the same page. Steve, Mike, Mike Merz, and myself sat down this morning and populated the SAD calendar with some milestone dates, and beam ops days starting next week. Please have a look at it. Attached is our latest schedule, it will be updated after the BTeam meeting, and sent back out possibly tomorrow.

Another thing that we need to nail down for 5 pass spin up is the sequence for beam to 2R, before full ORFP. Do we go our normal route, or take the opportunity before going to 2R to do the drift through the SL and into Hall A to get an energy/ polarization measurement at first pass to Hall A as Mike Tiefenback suggests??? Is it possible given possible shunt regulation issues? What are pros of cons in taking this route before 5 pass spin up? If we get numbers for corrections/ calibrations what do we do with them? I haven't seen the ATLis for this route? Tief/ Yves/ Jay who is writing this ATLis?

I would like to comment on other minutes from last week as well, if there are corrections or updates to my comments please say so.

1) most of the needed items are on the schedule, still need to coordinate with a few groups to refine it and work
out the scheduling at a finer level

Groups requiring coordination:

  1. Hall A for Beam tests before physics:
     * Yves met with Hall A staff last week. It seems that we can send beam into the hall before the 11th or after 13th or 14 th of November. They will also need on day in late November for other work.
  2. Coordination from hall A and B for possible polarization measurement prior to Pyhsics start:
     * Joe Grames spoke with hall folks about possibilities? Can't seem to find the email, but Hall B is also available for polarization measurements, when? Plan is to try to measure A1, and A5 B5? C will not be available until after physics start date.
  3. Coordination between of RF turn on (maybe this weekend), SRF for commissioning start, and DC Power for Hi Potting and Box Supply turn on (perhaps starting this weekend).

2) have people write ATLIses for each item on the list

  1. Look at the schedule list, we have flagged what we still need for ATLis's.

3) Joe Grames will be in charge of coordinating the spin dance

See Number 1.

4) Yves will write ATLIses for injector matching and LEM optics reproducibility

Also under Number 2.

5) Mike T. will write a procedure to scale the ARC1/ARC2 field maps to account for that 1/4 percent error and also
insure that we have am easy way to back out of it should the need arise

Tief, any more on this? Do we load these numbers after the calibration is done?

6) Thomas Platzky needs to write an ATLIS and clarify what is to be done for the 4 Laser LLRF phase recovery

Task already exists, and scheduled for the 21st or 22nd of October.

7) For the RF stress test, we need to detail the time, steps and staff involved (we only can put a limited amount of CW in Hall A at pass 5 ahead
of time because we dont want to make the diffuser too hot to handle. Kurt Hovater/Clyde Mounts will be the engineering contact.

Clyde has a draft sequence, which he is going to turn into an ATLis.

8) Yves will ask Hall A if it is possible to get their target installed by the 6th of November

Yves spoke with hall staff. It looks like they will stick to their schedule which has taget install and Survey and Alignment from the 11th until the 13th.

9) Hall APELS to get firm list of beam parameters for the upcoming experiments.

I think we have parameter tables for B, and C. Still haven't seen A and D. We also have an Ops meeting on Monday the 21st, where we have asked APEL's come prepared to talk to Crew Chiefs and Operators about their respective Halls. Are APELs ready to show the tables for the BTeam meeting, or do we do this next week?

For Next Week:
iterate on the schedule, fill out the ATLIses, refine the schedule.
